Painting Donated for Fundraiser in Support of Women's Habitat of Etobicoke

We are thrilled to share that our original painting, "Golden Skies," has been donated and sold at Women's Habitat of Etobicoke's silent auction, raising funds for an organization dedicated to providing trauma-informed services to women, children, and youth impacted by and escaping gender-based violence.

The Story Behind "Golden Skies"

"Golden Skies" represents an uplifting scenery of the sun emerging after a storm, a powerful metaphor for resilience and hope. Through the ebbs and flows of life, we can trust that the sun will come out again, even through the darkest of storms.

The golden sky in this piece illuminate the future with the help of others and the discovery of our inner strength. It is a visual reminder that brighter days await, and that we are never alone in our journey toward healing and renewal.

Supporting a Vital Mission

Women's Habitat of Etobicoke works toward a future that is safe, equitable, and free from gender-based violence for all women, children, and youth. Through intervention, prevention, and collective action that drives systems transformation, they provide essential programs including emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, and long-term support for survivors rebuilding their lives.

Art as a Force for Change

At dreamgrl collective, we believe that art has the power to inspire, heal, and create meaningful change. We are so happy to have contributed to this very important cause and to help our community through this donation.

The themes within "Golden Skies" : resilience, hope, and the promise of brighter days—align beautifully with Women's Habitat's mission to support survivors as they rebuild their lives and reclaim their futures.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the silent auction and to the new owner of "Golden Skies." Your support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of women, children, and youth in our community.

Together, we can create a safer, more equitable world. One act of care at a time.
